Jaxon grabs two pillows from the bed.
“What are you doing?”
“I need a pillow to sleep.”

“Are you afraid I’m going to attack you in the middle of the night?”
He snorts. “As if I couldn’t handle you.”
“You’re out of excuses, nerd boy.”
“I’m not a boy,” he growls.
“But you are a nerd.”
“I never denied being a nerd.”
“Get in the bed, nerd.”
He frowns. “I don’t think it’s a good idea.”
I lift my hand in the girl scout salute. “I solemnly swear to not take advantage of you.” I drop my hand. “Happy?”
“Were you ever a girl scout?”
“Brownie.” I shrug. “Same thing.”
“What if I take advantage of you?”
“I know judo. You don’t have a chance.”
He cocks an eyebrow. “Do you seriously know judo?”
I shrug. “I saw a documentary about it once.”
