The only thing worse than a natural disaster? The man offering to help me recover from it.
I don’t care how Eli Raider is a billionaire and has the most beautiful blue eyes I’ve ever seen – eyes I want to drown in while I explore those muscles no man who isn’t an athlete should have – because he’s a Class A Jerk. I want nothing to do with him.
Which is why I turn down his offer of help after a hurricane destroys the brewing facilities at Five Fathoms Brewing.
Matter solved.
Except my interfering wannabe matchmaking friends point out the truth. The brewery can’t survive unless we can brew beer soon and who knows how long it’ll be until we’re up and running again. And I realize I can’t say no.
But make no mistake about it – accepting help from Eli doesn’t mean I forgive him for what he did to me in high school. He can bring me coffee and muffins every morning until the end of time, it won’t change my mind.
Eli Raider is my enemy and nothing he does will change that.
This enemies to lovers, billionaire small town rom com features a heroine who has been holding a grudge for entirely too long, a billionaire who has no idea what he did wrong but still snarks at the woman who hates him, a seal that doesn’t know it’s not a traffic stop, too many mermaid legends to mention, and a group of girlfriends who are considering a career change from brewery owners to matchmakers.
“This book is so full of banter that it is a joy to read. Well written with great characters, I didn’t want the story to end.” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“… the best in the series. I love the smart Paisley and hard working Eli. They just make sense together. There is great banter [with] steam along with all the sweetness. Great story.” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I was hooked from page one. though I often say, “this one’s my favorite,” this time, it’s genuinely true. Their witty banter keeps me hooked, and I couldn’t stop reading.” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I will read anything D.E. Haggerty writes. She pulls you in from the first page. There is spice, banter and nosy friends. What more could you want? If this small town really existed, I would move there!” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“This one had me laughing so much. These two and all the others will have you cracking up. I want to find a place with awesome friends like these characters in this story and small town home feeling.” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I read it in one sitting! There's just something about Ms. Haggerty's writing that draws you in…
The wit and banter in this story were so entertaining and downright hilarious at times.” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“What a great book! I was captivated from the first page and I loved it. I love the banter and the funny quips either between the 5 girls but also between Eli and his brothers. The romance between Eli and Paisley was so sweet, I loved how he was so protective of her.” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I came to offer you the space for you to brew and produce Five Fathoms beer.”
Paisley’s eyes widen and her jaw drops open. “I wish I could say I’m imagining things but I’m not prone to flights of fancy. And I know I’m not dreaming as my vision is always impaired while I dream. Perhaps my ears are due for a thorough cleaning.”
“You don’t need to have your ears cleaned.”
“But why would you offer us space in your distillery? What do you get out of it?”
“It’s a friendly offer as a fellow smuggler.”
“A fellow smuggler?” She waves toward my suit pants.
“Being well dressed doesn’t mean I’m not a smuggler.”
“When was the last time you’ve been to the beach?”
Ha. Joke’s on her. “I was there this morning.”
“Paisley!” a man shouts.
“Thanks for your help. Flynn needs me.”
She walks off but I stop her with a question. “Aren’t you going to consider my offer?”
“Why? So you can lord it over me about how you’re a billionaire and your business is more successful than mine?” She shakes his head. “No thanks.”
“I’m not lording my money over you.”
“Okay,” she says but she clearly doesn’t believe me. “Thanks for your offer but I don’t need a man to save me.”
“I’m not trying to…” I trail off when she stalks away.
