Take the #Icebreaker challenge ~ Everything you don’t need to know about me

One of my all-time favorite bloggers, Ms. Felicia over at Nesie’s Place (follow her blog – she’s awesome!), found this fun ice breaker from Pearls Before Swine. I totally need a break from this morning (Oops! It’s actually afternoon already. How did that happen?) and thought what the hell? Let’s do this.

Are you named after someone? Yep! Two someones actually. My first name – Dena – is derived from my Dad’s middle name. My middle name is the same as my Mom’s.

When is the last time you cried? I’m normally not much of a crier, but I totally did cry on Monday. It was a bad day.

Do you like your handwriting? I can write pretty if I want to. Really. I can.

What is your favorite lunch meat? Ham. (See about my obsession with pork here.)

How many kids do you have? None – unless we’re counting fur babies. Are we counting fur babies?

If you were another person, would you be friends with you? Depends on how well this other person deals with sarcasm and snarky comments – as well as a whole lot of impassioned speeches (I bring my own soap box and everything).

Do you use sarcasm? Can’t live without it.

Do you still have your tonsils? Yes, although they really don’t do anything. Lazy tonsils.

Would you bungee jump? Yes. Probably pee my pants as well.

What is your favorite cereal? Granola. I can nearly make it through the morning without killing anyone (I’m mean when I’m hungry) if I eat it.

Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Not if I can help it.

Do you think you are strong? Oh yeah! Wait? Are we talking physically or mentally? (Answer is still yes).

What is your favorite ice cream? Mint chocolate chip, which seems to be a flavor only found in the US – where I don’t live. I’ve sent my niece out in a blizzard to get me some.

What is the first thing you notice about people? If they look friendly. Grumpy people scare me. Mostly because I’m afraid I’ll tell strangers to chill it! And Stop being grumpola!

What is the least favorite thing you like about yourself? I have a temper. Really, really bad temper.

What color pants and shoes are you wearing right now? Blue jeans and brown Birkenstocks (I don’t like wearing shoes)

What was the last thing you ate? Granola

What are you listening to right now?  Prince

If you were a crayon, what color would you be? One of those fancy colors that didn’t exist in the tiny boxes of crayons I was allowed as a child

What are your favorite smells? Chocolate, coffee, cinnamon

Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone? The hubby

Favorite sport to watch? Football. The kind where we play with your feet. I think you call it soccer.

Real hair color? Brown

Eye color? Hazel but definitely more green than brown. Not that that matters or anything.

Do you wear contacts? I wish. I have weird eyeballs that can’t wear contacts. I even had contacts specially made for me. Still couldn’t see a darn thing.

Favorite food to eat? Anything with chocolate or cheese

Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings!

Last movie you watched? Bridget Jones

What color shirt are you wearing? Pink

Summer or winter? Do I have to choose? Is there snow in this fictional winter?

Hugs or kisses? Both.

What book are you reading? Everybody’s Fool by Richard Russo

What is on your mousepad? Do people actually still use mouse pads?

What is the last TV program you watched? Nashville

What is the best sound? Laughter

What is the farthest you have traveled? Southeast Asia

Do you have a special talent? I’m sure I do. I just haven’t figured out what it is yet.
